Description
The mosque was built in 1778 by the Algerian Gazi Hassan Pasha. It is an impressive building with a beautiful and pristine courtyard dominated by an ancient marble trough used to grind wheat. In the 1933 earthquake, the Minarets were severely damaged, but the Italians took every care to restore them.
